The German Alumni Network Energy (GANE) has been established to improve the coordination of activities for former students of German Universities and to development associations in Germany. It is the outcome of a joint effort of the Dortmund University of Technology, Faculty of Building Sciences, its international partner universities, and the DAAD Alumni Energy Network with its German partner universities. Energy and building sciences is the joint area of teaching and research activities of the partners, who provide contact information to their German alumni online. The development of associations can concern particular faculties or universities (e.g. Faculty of Building Sciences, Dortmund University of Technology) as well as comprehensive networks (e.g. DAAD Alumni Network Energy).
