It goes without saying that international capacity building also bears some risks, e.g.

Especially in view of these risks it is helpful to work with people who know and appreciate our culture.

The Alumni Portal Germany is intended for whom?

We target:

1. Companies, industry unions and associations that build up and maintain worldwide cooperation and business units
2. Universities and universities of applied sciences, academic and educational institutions that are active in setting up and exchanging education capital
3. Organizations that are active in development cooperation and humanitarian efforts
4. Organizations that plan and realize cultural projects and programs abroad
5. Germany alumni who have set up a business or organization on their own
6. HR consultants who look for qualified personnel for interested international or local companies
7. Migrant organizations in Germany that want to find specialized partners for projects abroad.

What can you do to present yourself?

Under Jobs & Career you can:

As an employer you can find under Jobs & Career human resources, experts and potential partners abroad. The section Jobs & Career brings together qualified personnel from all over the world, most of whom have returned to their home countries after their higher education or further training in Germany.

In particular Jobs & Career offers all users a job and candidate exchange for cooperation with companies, projects and organizations.

You can also present your company or your organization in the section Employers' portraits. Present your company, your projects and activities abroad. Draw attention to yourself, cooperation partners and opportunities. Promote yourself and find contacts, employees and partners.

In order to fully use the portal, please register under My Portal. You can complete the registration form online. Simply follow the instructions. Then you will get a user name and a password. They give you free access to all information and services of the APD.

As a registered user of the portal you are invited to use other services as well, i.e. the section Keep up in which you can discover portraits of prominent alumni under Brains, and the section … Know-how, in which you can find information on (development) political and economic issues and on further training opportunities abroad, e.g. for your employees.

In addition, in the section Get connected you may use the network of the community with different specialized and regional forums. You are also welcome to open new groups and forums.
