Basic facts about the network
Trade Africa Network Tanzania – TAN Tanzania is a membership based network for Intra-Region Export Trade and Investment Promotion with the objective of linking people to export trade. It is a beneficiary partner and alumni network of GIZ.
The main goal of TAN Tanzania is to support private sector growth through sustainable internal, regional and international business development cooperation, enabling export trade, investment and technology transfer, bringing impact to people’s life and economies. The network’s mission is to develop trade linkages, network and building capacities of producers and processors to promote accessing and capturing markets in Tanzania and beyond. TAN Tanzania believes networking offers many positive solutions for members looking to change the way they trade, and promotes ways it can significantly address global trade change and meet national and intra-regional investment challenges.
Services and Activities
TAN Tanzania provides training and consultancy in trade, marketing and food safety. The network organizes and conducts professional capacity building trainings to Producers Groups.
The services provided by the network are:
- Organizing and conducting professional capacity building trainings to producers‘ groups.
- Market linkages through participation at local and foreign trade fairs and exhibitions.
- Organizing and coordinating business missions, trade fairs & exhibitions, technical study tour and visits as well as business to business meetings.
- Organizing and providing a platform for dialogue, addressing policy issues affecting regional and intra-regional trade to its members and the community.
