I visited Germany to pursue a course in German language at the Goethe-Institut in Dresden. I had already completed the basic levels at Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi before that and thought that there could not be a better place to do the higher level than in the country where the language is spoken.
"The technology used in the day-to-day life in Germany is amazing"
I was impressed with the German punctuality, orderliness, technology and artistic creativity. Being a gadget freak, I liked the electronics, the cars and most importantly, the technology used in the day-to-day life in Germany, for instance Autobahn or Kraftwerk or art creativity like Kunsthofpassage in Dresden. Oh, I forgot to mention BEER. It’s the best in that class!
My stay in Germany has been one of the best experiences of my life so far. The experience has helped me evolve both at a professional as well as at a personal level. On successful completion of the course in Germany and my return to India, I got an opportunity to work with some top multinational companies, including Hewlett Packard and Dell International Services. This could not have been possible without my German language skills and my foreign exposure. Thanks to my stay in Germany, I have worked in the global language center and IT department in the last few years. I am planning to study further and enhance my language and IT skills. I may apply for a job in Europe or at least for a higher position in India in the near future.
