Davorin Kempf on how his time in Germany influenced his life:

‘The time I spent studying in Germany has been extremely important for my artistic development and my career. After spending two years studying composition in Stuttgart and Cologne as a postgraduate, I took up a permanent position as a lecturer in the Composition and Music Theory Department at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. In 2006, I completed my PhD in musicology at the Freie Universität in Berlin.’
