‘My visits to three German universities on a DAAD scholarship have left an indelible mark on me. I found it extremely helpful to be able to communicate with the members and heads of research groups, each of whom is a distinguished scientist with outstanding expertise in the field of photobiology. These visits and the cooperation they enabled have undoubtedly influenced my world view.’
