DAAD Campaign "Study in Germany" wins the Special Award for Best Image Video

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has won the Special Award for Best Image Video at the ZEIT Career Award 2019. The video is part of the DAAD campaign “Study in Germany-Land of Ideas” that turns foreign students into video bloggers. The prize was awarded in Berlin last week.

“I am very pleased about the award from ZEIT and the success of the campaign. It has made an outstanding contribution to making foreign students enthusiastic ambassadors for studying in Germany.”

- DAAD President Prof Dr Margret Wintermantel

The jury of the award acknowledged this innovative approach to storytelling, in which students report as video bloggers on their respective university location, their studies and their everyday experiences in Germany.

This excellent video is part of the successful Study in Germany campaign launched in 2008. To date, 16 video bloggers have reported on their studies in Germany and their experiences within the framework of the campaign. These videos are available on Youtube as well as the Study in Germany website.

The winning video is available below, and all current and previous video bloggers are listed on the homepage of Study in Germany.
