Alumni Networks – Attention Please! Get up to 5000 € Project Funding now
Do you belong to an active and committed alumni network or association in a developing or emerging country? Does your network strive to improve living conditions and promote sustainable development? You already have got project ideas, but lack the financial support to get your project off the ground? Then apply now for funding!
The SDG Alumni Network Challenge 2017-2018 invites your network to develop your own idea for a project that will help ensure a more sustainable and better future for your country, your region or your city.
The competition reflects the spirit of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 goals. This year’s focus is on Goals 4 (quality education), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 12 (responsible consumption and production) and the topic of migration. So we’re looking for ideas for projects in these areas.
There’s a huge range of topics to choose from. Maybe you’d like to develop teaching materials, promote inclusion in universities or support education for sustainable development (Goal 4). Perhaps you could run training courses for entrepreneurs or set up initiatives to encourage sustainable economic activity (Goal 8). Or how about planning a project on waste prevention or responsible consumer behaviour (Goal 12), or setting up advisory services for refugees (special topic)? These are just a few examples – any project ideas related to one of these areas are welcome!
A panel of experts will select the best project concepts and award each winning team up to EUR 5,000 to get their projects off the ground.
