The Exchange Program for Regional Integration in East Asia and Europe (EPRIE) 2017 on
“Migration, integration, and belonging” from June 21 to July 3, 2017 in East Asia (South Korea and Japan) is open for young professionals and experts from civil society.


EPRIE 2017 will take a closer look at global migration patterns as well as differences and similarities between migration policies in Europe and East Asia. Is the rollback of migration policies in Europe part of a global phenomenon? Is building walls a new trend in global migration policies? While focusing on East Asia, new trends and factors, which play a significant role in current migration policies within the region, will be discussed. In addition, the program focuses on the different meanings of integration and the belonging of migrants. Together with alumni, the effects of migration on regional alliances and on nation states will be examined.

Who can apply?

The programme is open for young professionals and experts from civil society, who actively contribute to the seminar by introducing their ideas and perspectives, share their opinions, and discuss these with fellow participants.

The application deadline is 26 March 2017.
