Journalists from Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan as well as the other CIS countries, the Baltic States and Georgia are invited to apply for a two-month working stay in Germany with the Marion-Gräfin-Dönhoff-Journalistenstipendium.

The scholarship is intended to give young journalists from Eastern Europe the opportunity to gain a personal impression of the current political, economic, cultural developments and backgrounds as well as everyday life in Germany. It offers the unique opportunity to work in a foreign journalistic work environment and to get an insight into the local media landscape.

Who can apply?
Eastern European journalists aged 23 and 35 who regularly work as freelancers, volunteers or editors for German or Eastern European newspapers, radio stations, TV stations or online newsrooms can apply. Good knowledge of German is required.

Applications must be submitted by 15 April 2019.
