Apply now: Mercator fellowships on International Affairs

University graduates as well as young professionals of all disciplines with an interest in international cooperation can apply until 20 December for a place in the Mercator Kolleg on International Affairs. The twelve-month programme comprises two to three stations in international organizations.

From climate change and poverty reduction to tackling international financial and economic crises to the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction: none of the challenges faced by the international community today can be resolved with national unilateralism: international thinkers and young people are needed to face these Challenges with inventiveness and creativity.

The 12-month programme consists of two to three stations in international organizations, where fellows can work on a topic of their choice: EU-NATO cooperation in the Mediterranean, theatre as a basis for conflict mediation, the potential of new technologies for biodiversity research, technical and technological development social innovation in urban development - the topics that the fellows deal with during their promotion are manifold and reflect current and future societal challenges with an international dimension.

Target group
Every year, the Mercator Kolleg promotes graduates and young professionals who strive for responsible work in international cooperation. In addition to the technical foundations of international cooperation, the programme also provides its colleagues with key competences and gives them the opportunity to further qualify during the one-year period of support according to their wishes and needs.
