Dear Balthazar Kitundu,

many thanks for your kind and positive feedback! We are glad to hear that our infographics might be a helpful explanation to someone who is not familiar with this term.

Dear Manas Kumar Bhadra,

Thank you very much for sharing your story! You have a very interesting biography, which really shows in an exemplary way “once an Alumni - always an Alumni".

Dear Dominador Garin and Alexander P Mhango,

on the Alumniportal we define “Germany-Alumni” as people from all over the world who studied, worked, did research, completed a training programme or a German language course at a German institution. There are no strict rules about how long the training (or short term course) has got to be until you are "alumni" - the connecion between the graduate and the institutions is what counts. Thus, we also consider graduates from short term courses as well as training programs as (Germany-)Alumni too.

All the best
Alumniportal Deutschland Team

Thanks for your historical information about the word ALUMNI, otherwise I would not know where and how it has been formulated. I have been using this without knowing its meaning more than 5 years back, and I joined it when we were at workshop conducted by Mr Baltazar Kitundu of GIZ Tanzania, the workshop was real good and every participants were ask to open up an account of Alumniportal Deutschland, since then I have been using it up to now.
I and my colleagues, we have an opportunity to visit organic trade fair held in different parties in Germany from 2011, 2012 & 2013 as a study tour. We were in Nurnberg (BioFach) and Berlin (fruit logistical) and visited a Hamburg port to see how the port activities is being done.
This study tour was organized by TANTZ under the supervision of Country coordinator Mr. Deusdedit Kizito.
Our study tour was supported by InWent and later GIZ. in Germany we meet our host, I can remember one Lars Kresse and other lady that I can't remember her name.
I appreciate the Alumniportal Deutschland is connecting people all over the world.
