About the Alumni eSpecial Project BIOFACH 2021

The DAAD Alumni eSpecial Project in the framework of BIOFACH eSpecial 2021 builds on two consecutive elements – (a) training seminars at German universities and (b) participation in the world’s leading trade fair for organic food BIOFACH eSpecial 2021. The main goal is to facilitate a better understanding of opportunities sustainable and organic food production can offer worldwide as well as in the countries of origin of the participating Germany alumni in the Global South. The seminars and trade fair participation are offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in the framework of the programme Alumni Special Projects.

The training seminars that precede participation in the fair are organized and hosted respectively by the Department of Agricultural Engineering in the Tropics and Subtropics of the Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences of the University of Kassel / DITSL Witzenhausen and the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) at University Hospital Heidelberg.
