The panel discussion “Is EU’s Green Deal leading the future of Global Agriculture Trade?” brings together an array of voices in both the public and private sectors to gain impartial and substantive information about EU’s new Green Deal and its impacts throughout the world. The topic covered in this workshop aim to provide neutral forum for information exchange on the agricultural trade. It will focus on the aspects and complexities of the new EU framework on its trade relations with third countries, with a special focus on its implications on exporting SMEs from the Global South.

The EU’s new Green Deal has raised several research questions and generated vast expectations on the way Europe seeks to change towards a more sustainable path, both at an international and regional level. This event facilities dialogue and knowledge exchange among different actors whilst it provides the audience with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent in the sustainability transition for SMEs in third countries.
