Background
Since 2013, more than 500 companies have already participated in the competition. The aim is to identify promissing startups and to qualify for further activities within the sponsor's global and local activities.

The award is part of the Startups Connected programme, an initiative of the AHK-SP, which also includes the Startup Accelerator module, a programme for the promotion of excellent young companies and support for the development of new business opportunities, as well as the Startup Hub module. The latter offers the opportunity to stay in touch with the AHK-SP in the long term in order to profit from the active network of the member companies.

The DWIH-SP in particular offers two of the promoted Brazilian start-ups the opportunity to travel to Germany to make contacts with local research institutes, start-up centers and investors.
